Matters of the Heart Gives Back

Our mission is to produce and facilitate access to quality programming, meaningful entertainment for families, youth empowerment and engagement through inspirational information to the Black community. We achieve this by focusing on learning from one another through shared stories & testimonials of how to overcome obstacles, and using this as a motivational tools to build perseverance and resilience. This in turn Inspires viewers across the GTA & beyond to gain strength through life's challenges, and become a positive transformed individual to society. Matters of the Heart addresses some of the main social issues affecting black families across the globe such as self-identity crisis, homelessness, poverty, hunger, sex-trafficking's, life after incarceration, death, wealth, & spiritual upliftment. We mentor, train, and hire young people through empowerment workshops plus we engage audiences from the community. 

Our organization believes in the essence of good nutrition for the black family. We provide free food through our Foodbank and Soup kitchen program. We also collect safe, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food, and redistributes it to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity at zero cost. We provide educational advancement workshops, scholarships to students, newcomers, homeless, runaways, & at-risk youth. 
Founded in 2017, Matters of the Heart has made tremendous impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the Greater Toronto community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in.
